Zhou Xiaohui is a rising star in journalism that won professional recognition from Alex and joined Ming Shang Magazine three years ago. However, Alex gradually begins to feel exposed to threats from Zhou Xiaohui so Alex plans to set him up and get him fired. Zhou Xiaohui is so angry that he leaves Ming Shang with Assistant Editor Yinghong and Xiaopang and starts his own fashion magazine called Modern Magazine, which is financed by his best friend Wuyang.
Encountering every kind of difficulty, Zhou Xiaohui begins to be distrustful of other employees of Modern magazine. Employees slowly begin leaving one by one, except for Yinghong. Later, inspired by Mr. Zheng, Zhou Xiaohui sincerely begs the old employees to come back and in doing so ultimately redefines the role of Modern Magazine. Sales of the magazine soar and the magazine wins the New Magazine of the Year award. Moreover, Zhou Xiaohui and Yinghong finally affirm their love to each other and get married.
